What this is
A real build challenge, not a quiz.
AetherEdge is running a practical student builders challenge to identify high-potential students who can think, build, ship, and communicate clearly using public data and real engineering tools.
A 7-day challenge for shortlisted students to build and deploy a vehicle counting and flow analysis solution using public video data.
What we're evaluating
Skills that matter more than a leaderboard score.
- Practical problem solving
- Computer vision engineering
- Counting / tracking logic
- Ability to ship
- Clarity of communication
- Lightweight production readiness
Set expectations
What we actually want to see.
- Perfect accuracy is NOT expected.
- A working, well-explained solution is better than an over-ambitious broken one.
- Pre-trained models and open-source libraries are allowed.
- AI coding tools are allowed, but students must understand and explain their solution.
- Training a model from scratch is NOT required.
